About

I am an iPhD student in AI for Sustainability at the University of Southampton, funded by a UKRI studentship, and a member of the Ocean Perception Lab.

My project, Refinement of Global Estimates of Seafloor Disturbance by Industrial Trawlers Using AI-enabled Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) for High-Resolution Seabed Surveying, forms part of the wider “C-Floor” Project.

My research focuses on developing AI-enabled methods for AUVs to detect, track, and map trawl marks on the seafloor. By combining sequential Bayesian estimation, probabilistic learning, and robotics, I aim to refine global estimates of seafloor disturbance caused by industrial trawling and its implications for carbon cycles.

I am committed to advancing interdisciplinary research in marine robotics, artificial intelligence, and sustainability, with the long-term goal of contributing to informed policy and sustainable ocean management.
