Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE)
PPIE is research that is done ‘with’ or ‘by’ the public, not simply ‘to’, ‘about’ or ‘for’ them.
The Primary Care Research Centre has an excellent track record for career development and capacity building in academic primary care, supporting researchers to conduct high profile, impactful research that addresses they key issues facing modern primary care.
The Primary Care Research Centre is dedicated to research, education and enterprise that aspires to improve clinical care and health outcomes in a manner which affords value for money for the NHS. It does this through collaborative and multi-disciplinary teamwork including patient and public involvement.
