About this course
This is aimed to be an introductory course to various aspects of radiochemistry and the content will include:
- principles of radiometric measurements including types of detectors
 - mathematical concepts in radiochemistry
 - general laboratory techniques
 - sample preparation
 - radiochemical separation techniques
 - liquid scintillation counting
 - quality control in a radiochemical laboratory
 - counting statistics, errors / uncertainties and limits of detection

This course is for new analysts, radiochemists and for anyone looking for refresher training.
Learning and assessment
This in-person course at the University of Southampton's Waterfront Campus includes access to our on-site radioanalytical laboratories. You'll receive a copy of the notes and a certificate of attendance.
