Irfan is a postgraduate researcher specialising in Mathematical Physics. His research interests focus on Integrable Quantum Field Theories and the intricate mathematical structures inherent to this discipline, for example, Motivic Periods, Positive Geometry and Resurgent structures with Cluster algebras. Additionally, these structures also appear in Feynman integrals and other parts of physics such as string amplitudes.
Irfan's work involves investigating connections between motivic periods and various mathematical concepts, such as the resurgence and coactions of Feynman integrals and q-functions from integrablity of biscalar fishnet field theory.

Irfan earned an integrated master’s degree from the University of Leeds, combining both undergraduate and postgraduate studies into a single, comprehensive programme. His academic focus was on high energy physics and pure mathematics, culminating in a master's dissertation specialising in N = 1 Supersymmetric Field Theories.
