About
Fitriasari is a Postgraduate Researcher at the School of Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, the University of Southampton. She is also a member of the Centre for Research in Inclusion (CRI) at the University of Southampton, which focuses on studying the inclusion of children, adults, families, and education practitioners.
Fitri joined the University of Southampton in January 2026. Her research interests are in international students’ transitions, educational migrations, and children's and young adolescents' voices, particularly in primary and secondary education. Her recent study is about the educational reintegration of Indonesian returnee students from abroad who continue their education in national secondary schools in Indonesia. This study aims to explore the students' experiences in dealing with socio-cultural adjustment, curriculum transition, and school-based support during their reintegration into Indonesian secondary schools.
