Research project

Aiming to reduce health disparities in local community groups

Project overview

This project aims to improve nutrition knowledge and well-being among disadvantaged and ethnically diverse communities through practical nutrition workshops, group coaching and individual support. Working with existing community groups in Southampton and Bath, the project will provide tailored dietary advice and cooking guidance to help participants achieve personal health goals. Questionnaires administered at baseline and after 4–6 weeks will assess changes and explore the impact of the cost of living on dietary choices and health inequalities. Findings will inform future community-based interventions and potentially contribute to local public health policies aimed at reducing health disparities.
