I am a dual-field registered nurse (Adult and Mental Health) and PhD researcher at the University of Southampton. My interest lies in self-management of coexisting physical and mental health long term conditions, inequalities, community-based care, and ensuring that research and services are shaped by the experiences and priorities of the people they are designed to support.
My PhD, funded by the South Coast Doctoral Partnership (ESRC), explores how social and digital inequalities shape self-management support for emerging adults living with coexisting physical and mental health long-term conditions. Through evidence synthesis, qualitative research, and co-production, I am aiming to develop a practice framework to support more equitable self-management for this population in community setttings.
Prior to my PhD, I completed a Masters in Nursing (Adult and Mental Health) and Masters in Clinical and Health Research at the University of Southampton. My previous research has exlored psychosocial care following lower limb loss and self-management among adults living with coexisting physical and mental health long-term conditions. Building on this work, my current research focuses on self-management of coexisting physical and mental health conditions from a social and digital inequality lens.
