Clean Air Programme

Meet our champions

Our champions unite atmospheric, medical and social science researchers to develop practical solutions for air quality challenges.

Our champions aim to connect interdisciplinary communities with the broader clean air network, which includes:

  • government policy advisors
  • health and social care organisations
  • businesses and industries
  • the public
  • the wider policy and business landscape

They want to maximise the impact of their research by working with other national and international stakeholders to facilitate joint-working, identifying areas of common interest and avoiding duplication.

Regional Clean Air champions

The Regional Clean Air Champions are the central point for air quality research in each of the following regions:

  • Midlands to North of England
  • Wales
  • Scotland
  • Northern Ireland

They work to increase collaboration and impact across and beyond the programme.
