The Microbiology groups actively collaborate through international and national consortia, as well as university research and innovation networks.

- Institute for Life Sciences (IfLS)
- Precision Biosciences Innovation Hub
We also engage in citizen science projects (such as the Phage Collection Project), work with local schools, and participate in outreach festivals including Pint of Science and the British Science Festival.
