IdeaSage: Developing An Evidence-Based Curriculum MVP To Support Teachers In Addressing Corrosive Ideas

Project overview

Young people are growing up in an information environment in which misleading claims, conspiracy theories, science denial and harmful ideologies can spread rapidly. Teachers increasingly encounter these ideas in the classroom, but many lack the confidence, time or appropriate resources to address them effectively.

This project will develop ideaSage, a new evidence-based curriculum designed to help young people aged 10–16 engage with ideas thoughtfully and constructively. ideaSage translates research led by Professor Chris Brown and Ruth Luzmore at Southampton Education School into practical resources that teachers can use in the classroom.
