Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:

• Develop insight into your learning needs and reflect on your own learning style and how it may need to be adapted to the clinical environment.
• Recognise a range common clinical disorders appropriate at the year 3 level and the effects of disease on patients and their families and/or carers.
• Take responsibility for your own learning, your continuing professional development and identify strategies to ensure that your own mental well-being is preserved
• Make accurate observations of clinical phenomena.
• Recognise the scientific basis for and characteristic presentations of disease in patients and the impact of social, economic and cultural factors on health, illness and recovery.
• Justify the selection of appropriate investigations for common clinical cases.
