About
I am an organic geochemist at the University of Southampton. My research focuses on reconstructing past climates, environments, and biogeochemical processes by utilising a multi-proxy approach. I am also interested in developing and validating lipid biomarker-based proxies in modern sedimentary systems. With increasing anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions, the geological record can provide a unique opportunity to further our understanding on how the Earth will respond to future warming.

Research interests
- Transient warming events (e.g. PETM and other early Eocene hyperthermals)
- Reconstructing the petrogenic organic carbon cycle
- Developing proxies for the oxidation of petrogenic organic carbon
