Our staff are available to assist throughout your visit. Feel free to ask if you have any questions.
1. General Safety
Footwear: All participants (boulderers and climbers) must wear climbing shoes—no bare feet, open-toed sandals, or trainers are allowed.
Matting Area: Stay on the black matting and keep the area clear of unused items. Use the lockers in the changing rooms for your belongings.
Personal Responsibility: Always exercise care, common sense, and self-preservation.
Reporting Issues: Inform a staff member immediately if you notice problems with the wall, equipment, or other climbers’ behavior.
Avoid Distractions: Do not distract people while they are climbing.
Safety Zone: Stand well back from the climbing wall. Never stand directly beneath someone who is climbing.
2. Bouldering
Climb only within your capabilities and descend by climbing—do not jump off the bouldering wall. Note that matting does not eliminate the risk of injury.
Never climb directly above or below another climber.
Do not climb onto, or sit on top of, the bouldering wall or any building structures.
Do not wear harnesses while using the bouldering wall.
3. Auto Belay
Use auto-belays only for routes directly below the device; do not use them on adjacent routes.
Always attach yourself to the sling using a safety harness.
If the device retracts fully without a climber attached, do not attempt to retrieve it. Notify a staff member immediately for assistance.
Ensure all climbers are wearing harnesses and are properly connected to the line.
Perform all pre-climb safety checks before starting on a new line.
4. Junior Climbers
Age Restriction: Children must be 7 years or older to climb.
Induction: A parent/guardian must attend the induction with the child and complete the Under 18’s Climbing Waiver and Acknowledgment of Risk form.
Supervision: Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Pre-Climb Checks: It is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to perform pre-climb checks for their child.
Ratio: One adult may supervise only one child at a time.
