Children's holiday camps

Children can join our holiday camps for a full day of sports, crafts and problem-solving activities. 

These camps are a great way for children to stay active, try new activities and make friends during the school holidays.

Summer Camps 2026

Our Summer Camps for 2 age groups will run from Monday 27 July to Friday 14 August 2026. 

Book now in person at the Jubilee Sport and Recreation Centre reception. 

Camp dates

  • Week 1: Monday 27 July to Friday 31 July
  • Week 2: Monday 3 August to Friday 7 August
  • Week 3: Monday 10 August to Friday 14 August

Each day includes sports, arts and crafts and games. Sessions are led by qualified children’s sports instructors to provide a safe, active, and enjoyable environment.

Children aged 5 to 10 

All 3 weeks take place at the Jubilee Sport and Recreation Centre.

  • Time: 8am to 5pm
  • Cost: £37.50 per child per day

Children aged 8 to 14 

Week 1 activities will take place at the Jubilee Sport and Recreation Centre.

Weeks 2 and 3 activities are split between Wide Lane Sports Ground and the University Watersports Centre.

Book in person at the Jubilee Sport and Recreation Centre reception. 

Payment information

  • Physical bank cards are required for payments over £100
  • American Express is not accepted 
  • If paying by childcare vouchers, please tell reception when you book and email proof of transaction to southamptonsport@soton.ac.uk by Friday 3 July 

Sessions are limited and offered on a first come, first served basis. 

All bookings must be completed in person. 

After booking, we will email pre-course information closer to the start date.

Drop-off and collection times

  • Drop-off: 8am to 8:45am at the location of the booked activity
  • Collection: 4pm to 4:45pm from the same location

3:30pm to 4pm - Snack break

4pm to 4:45pm - Pick-up at Wide Lane Sports Ground

  • Children attending watersports days must be able to swim 25 metres unaided.
  • The time spent on the water will depend on the tide.

8am to 8:45am - Drop-off at the University Watersports Centre

9am to 11am - Raft building

11am to 11:30am - Snack break

11:30am to 12:30pm - Games / arts and crafts

12:30pm to 1:30pm - Lunch 

1:30pm to 3:30pm - Water activities - raft testing, paddleboarding, boat trips

3:30pm to 4pm - Snack break

4pm to 4:45pm - Pick-up at the University Watersports Centre
