We are a joint facility of the Faculty of Medicine, University of Southampton and University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. We are dedicated to high quality and high resolution imaging in 2D, 3D and 4D by light, electron and X-ray microscopy.
We provide research microscopy support to the University, other universities, industry and artists. We also provide diagnostic electron microscopy services to UHS and other hospitals in the UK and abroad.
Our vision and strategy

ISO accreditation
We are accredited to ISO 15189 for the provision of diagnostic electron microscopy services by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) - the national accreditation body for the United Kingdom, appointed by government, to assess organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services.
