Aims and Objectives
Learning Outcomes
Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:
- Critically analyse programmes of care demonstrating modifications for the improvements of outcomes for women, babies and their families
- Critically appraise the diagnostic and decision-making skills required for the safe assessment, planning and delivery of care for women and their newborn infant during the childbirth continuum
- Recognise and critically appraise the value of the women's, and their families, voice within maternity services and own professional development
- Demonstrate and evaluate safe practice within the limitations of the student midwives own competence, knowledge and sphere of professional practice, consistent with the legislation relating to midwifery practice
