India Excellence Scholarships of £4,000 off tuition fees are available to new international postgraduate students from India applying for an in-person postgraduate master’s programme.
Eligibility
To get this scholarship you must:
be a resident of India who would be eligible to pay the overseas tuition fee
have a conditional or unconditional offer to study any in person, full-time, postgraduate master’s programme
pay your tuition fee deposit by Friday 31 July 2026
We determine residency as where you have been living for a 3-year period or longer before the start of the course.
This does not include where you are living for study purposes, if it is somewhere different from your place of permanent residency.
Conditions of getting the scholarship
The £4,000 is available as a tuition fee reduction on the first year of study.
If you are already in receipt of a scholarship award from us or you become eligible for another scholarship award from us, we will apply 50% of the value of the Excellence Scholarship award. This will be applied on top of any other Southampton award you receive as long as the combined value of both awards does not equal more than 100% of your tuition fees.
