Southampton Electronics and Computer Science Global Scholarship

To get this scholarship you must:

• apply for an eligible course before you apply for the scholarship
• receive a course offer before the closing date of the scholarship
• be a resident of a country listed in the additional eligibility criteria
• not be in receipt of any external scholarship that covers your full fees
• be an international student paying the overseas fee
• for undergraduate applications, you must have selected the University of Southampton as your firm choice

Check if you will pay the Overseas fee.

This computer science scholarship is not available to students studying:

• on PGCert, PGDip, Foundation or PGR courses
• on Distance Learning courses
• with a partner institution
• at our campus in Malaysia
• on Study Abroad courses
• as an exchange or partner student
• on Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses
• only pre-sessional English – pre-sessional English students with an offer to study at undergraduate or postgraduate level can still apply

1. apply for an eligible Electronics and Computer Science (ECS) course
2. fill out the scholarship expression of interest form

We cannot accept late applications.

Supporting your application

You'll need to:

• explain your future goals and how your chosen course at Southampton will help you achieve that (200 words maximum word count).
• show how you might act as an ambassador for the University as a Southampton ECS Global Scholarship awardee? (200 words maximum word count)

There are 5 stages to the shortlisting process.

1. we check that you meet the eligibility criteria
2. we score and rank the answers you give on your application form
3. we shortlist candidates, prioritising applicants from low income countries
4. we score your academic qualifications stated on your UCAS or PGT application form
5. a scholarship panel assess your total score

This is a competitive process and not all applications will be successful. The decision of the scholarship panel is final.
