About
I am an Associate Professor in Health Psychology at the University of Southampton and joined the Centre for Clinical and Community Applications of Health Psychology in April 2026.
I am no stranger to the university, having completed my MSc in Health Psychology here in 2009 and my PhD in 2014. I spent 12 years at the University of Aberdeen within the Aberdeen Health Psychology Group, part of the Institute of Applied Health Sciences. During this time, I also served as MSc Health Psychology Programme Director for four years.
My research is best known for using intensive longitudinal methods and analyses to study psychological and health-related phenomena in everyday life. Having spent most of my postdoctoral career within a medical school environment, my work is often interdisciplinary and applied in nature. My primary interests include stress, fatigue, medical decision-making, symptom dynamics, and health behaviour change.
Whilst my publications list is being generated, for a full list see my Google Scholar profile.
