If you’re confident with the basics of sailing, this course will give you a taste of the next steps as you prepare to develop a more advanced set of skills on the water.
About the course
This course brings together all the skills and knowledge you gained in the RYA Dinghy Level 1 and Level 2 courses, in preparation for moving on to the Level 4 modules. During this course we’ll give you a taster of what you can experience on those advanced modules. You’ll be able to try rudderless sailing, use a spinnaker (weather permitting), and possibly a harness.
Dinghy Sailing courses are taught on a maximum ratio of 1 instructor to 9 students. However, they often run on a ratio of 1 instructor to 6 students.
After completing this course, you’ll be more confident in sailing skills and techniques, and ready to progress onto the RYA Dinghy Level 4 - Advanced Modules
RYA Seamanship Skills
RYA Day Sailing
RYA Sailing with Spinnakers
RYA Performance Sailing
